All of Amsterdam producer Midas Hutch‘s 80’s boogie inspired remixes this past year have been tagged #Sex, but not his new single “100%,” which is tagged #Love and most suitably so. This new original, the first of many to come, has the FS Green alter-ego flexing his modern disco and electro funk style, and comes with a music video of iconic images from the Eighties.
Following his remixes for TeeFlii, Jeremih and Dej Loaf, which all got airplay in the UK and made their way into DJ sets (and hearts) stateside, Midas Hutch’s talk-box outfitted “100%” is a pop music revival – uplifting and jiggy, and about staying together forever.
An ode to the Caprice song “100%” released in 1985, Midas Hutch pays respect with a video, by Bond & Borgesius, of some of the most memorable scenes from the Eighties. Watch the video here and stay tuned for the next phase of Midas Hutch.
