The somewhat reclusive producer Goto Hirofumi has recently presented his debut full length album, the wopping 14-track Luster Grand Hotel. Using the pseudonym Rondenion since the early 2000s, his previous outings have been mainly dance music of Chicago/Detroit influence.
Aside from some rather cookie cutter house, one of his most realized EP’s Love Bound was released on Rush Hour in ’09 – all of this material still arriving unexpected from a producer born and stationed in Japan.
Below you can stream album opener “Plus Eight,” a sweltering, samba-tinged mover to be found at the tail end of a basement set slowing down after traces of sunrise.
Roundabout Sounds has released vinyl copies of Luster Grand Hotel, while the ever-genre indiscriminate Plug Research has handled the digital version of the release. You can purchase the album on iTunes.
