Montréal-based producer and Kaytranada protégé, Pomo, has released his debut EP titled The Other Day off steady-killin’-it label HW&W Recordings / Ultra Records this week.
Totaling in eight tracks, you may recognize songs like “So Fine” and “Start Again” featuring vocalist Andrea Cormier off recent mixes from Disclosure and Snakehips. The Other Day EP also includes a collaboration with fellow countrymen Kaytranada on the track “Cherry Funk.”
Billed as a multi-instrumentalist, you can hear Pomo’s genre-bending qualities with noticeable 70’s and 80’s funk influence on the song “On My Mind,” and hints of hip-hop samples on “Cloud Cruise,” and chillwave-inspired closer “Distant Luuver.”
Pomo’s The Other Day EP is available now on iTunes. Stream the new EP in full below.
