Recently hashtagged as #sovietjuke in a tweet by Russian bass-man Pixelord, this new release by Moa Pillar holds its own next any big UK or US bass music.

According the Moscow-based music site PlusPlusPlus, the young Muscovite Fedor Pereverzev recently started producing tracks under the Moa Pillar moniker in a quest for a new sound.  Judging by the new Hunting EP, he appears to have accomplished this goal.  Classified on fuseLAB‘s Bandcamp page as “ethno-future-trap,” each track has a luster all it’s own.  From stomping bass, to fluttering chimes and synths, it’s all perfect for the dancefloor or the headphones.

The self-released 4-track EP dropped June 24, and is available as a pay-what-you-wish download at fuseLAB.
