The live remixing performance duo Live Evil (comprised of Kutcorners and DJ Marvel from Van City’s The Freshest collective) premiere their newest club jam titled “Bang That” with us today.
Live Evil’s new track features a sample of ghettotech veteran Detroit’s Filthiest‘s 2002 record “Pass Out” (which coincidentally, but much differently, was also sampled by Disclosure on their track, “Bang That“). While the young Brits return to house music, their Canadian counterparts’ version of “Bang That” feels much more like a turnt-in-the club, hip hop instrumental – we’d say perfect for a Danny Brown verse.
Stream Live Evil’s “Bang That” here and watch the video teaser, shot by Richie McFly, at Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver. Follow @weareliveevil to stay tuned to the latest.
