As the northern hemisphere begins it’s slow journey away from the sun, we get a timely treat to guide us from the waning days of summer. Mindset Records, the brainchild of Manchester producer Indigo, celebrates their 15th release in the form of a deep new 2-track EP that pristinely represent the UK deep bass music movement.
On the A Side is the enchanting remix of Synkro‘s 2011 chilled-out classic “Look At Yourself” by Djrum. In over 11 minutes, Djrum conjures a mystical vortex of classical and cinematic influences. Rolling bass lines cruise through Synkro’s signature high-low beats. Djrum’s next-level LP Seven Lies came out earlier in the year on London’s venerable 2nd Drop Records. The B Side is an epic techno remix of the mysterious duo Szare‘s “Leaning Towers of Concrete” by ASC of Auxiliary Music. ASC recently released an incredible ambient LP Time Heals All this past July on Canada’s Silent Season records.
The single is exclusively available for pre-order over on Mindset’s Surus page and is set to drop on digital as well as a cool marbleized red & black vinyl 12″ this September.
ALSO, this Saturday, Aug. 24th, for the fans in Europe; Synkro and Indigo are presenting Mindset to Berlin at Gretchen with Djrum, Hatti Vatti & Delfonic! More details on the event at Resident Advisor…not to be missed!
