Amsterdam producer FS Green has been going full throttle with his Midnight Star-inspired Midas Hutch side-project, releasing several hot remixes already the past few months after introducing the style to his fans last year.
His latest offering puts the Midas Hutch polish on Fort Lauderdale R&B/Hip-Hop up-and-comer B. Smyth’s “Twerkoholic.” Whereas the original is a bump-and-grinder telling its twerk-obsessed subject, “Hold up gurl, just wind it slow,” the Midas Hutch version picks up the pace, incorporating a clever vocal sample (B.o.B., maybe?) instead telling her she can either “speed it up or slow it down.”
The remix comes in strong with a punchy drum break that moves right into that feel-good, ’80s modern soul boogie that FS channels so well in all his Midas Hutch productions.

Be sure to check out the other Midas Hutch remixes, including reworks of Bando Jonez’s “Sex U”, fellow Amsterdam producer SirOJ’s “Hey Baby”, and a ridiculously infectious flip of Jeremih’s smash hit “Don’t Tell ‘Em”, which has been in my heavy rotation since it dropped as a free download back in January.
